#5 The current plans for John Cena’s WrestleMania 39 opponent

WWE recently announced that 16-time world champion John Cena will make his return on the last SmackDown episode of 2022 on December 30. The fans have already started speculating that what storyline might begin after his return and are looking forward to seeing him compete at WrestleMania 39. subsequent years.
According to a report in Zero News, Cena is currently planning to compete at WrestleMania 39. The three stars currently being discussed as his opponents are Austin Theory, L.A. Knight, and Logan Paul, with the latter being the frontrunner.
“We are told that he still has plans for Mania a few hours before. Logan Paul, L.A. Knight and Austin are options for Cena at Theory Mania. I was told that Theory is the least likely option. vs. Logan. On that front, Knight is the second option for Cena,” Zero News reported.
Logan Paul has impressed the WWE Universe in his very short pro-wrestling career so far, with his most recent match being against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2022. It will be interesting to see whether the company trusts him enough to go up against a veteran. , Like John Cena.
#4 The Hall of Famer has reportedly signed a new deal

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg competed in a losing effort against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber earlier this year. His social media posts prior to the match indicated that he might retire from wrestling after this.
However, this may not happen as according to a report in Zero News, Goldberg has signed a new contract with the company to return to the ring. The report states that the deal is for two years and five matches, three of which will be against young stars he hasn’t faced so far.
It is interesting to note that Goldberg recently said in an interview that he is not done with wrestling and hinted at coming to avenge his loss against Roman Reigns earlier this year.
#3 Roman Reigns and former WWE Champion out with same injury
A few weeks ago, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns had his eardrum ripped during the main event of the Survivor Series WarGames. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Drew McIntyre is also ruled out due to the same injury. Thankfully, the injuries are not serious and both the stars should be back in action soon.
Both Reigns and McIntyre were eliminated from Survivor Series due to ruptured eardrums. It is a short term thing and both should be back soon. Reigns is not on any post-Christmas show, not even MSG. McIntyre is expected to return to those shows,” Dave Meltzer reported.
Roman Rance is going to defend his title against Kevin Owens at next year’s Royal Rumble premium live event. As far as Drew McIntyre is concerned, it remains to be seen what WWE has in store for him at WrestleMania 39.

One of the biggest topics of discussion lately has been Roman Reigns’ opponent for WrestleMania 39. With the Royal Rumble season set to begin soon, the company will be looking to finalize plans for its biggest star well in advance.
According to recent reports, there have been internal discussions to have Roman Reigns compete on both nights of WrestleMania 39. The planned opponents for the event are Cody Rhodes and The Rock, however, it is not certain whether WWE will move forward with the idea. ,

Former NXT Champion Bobby Roode aka Robert Roode will reportedly be out of action for several months. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE star recently had neck fusion surgery, which will keep him out of action for 6 to 14 months.
”Robert Rood, 46, who has been out of action since June, had neck fusion surgery in Birmingham on 11/10. Depending on the type of surgery and recovery, it could be out of action for anywhere between six to 14 months.
While Roode’s booking on the main roster has been highly questionable, fans were hopeful that under Triple H, he would return to his best. His performance as the brand’s champion in NXT was incredible and the WWE Universe wants to see Roode back on the main roster, and possibly even go for that world title shot. We wish him a speedy recovery!
