The Anoa’i family is one of the most prominent wrestling families, and some of the stars who are part of the clan include Roman Reigns, The Usos, The Rock, and Rikishi. Another person of legendary lineage seems to have joined the business recently.
One of the latest Anoa’i wrestling debuts in recent times was by Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Ava Raine (aka Simone Johnson). She is currently a member of the Schism stable in NXT. However, another Samoan has stepped outside WWE and inside the square circle.
In a recent tweet from the wrestling reality show, it was announced that Zilla Fatu, a family member of Roman Reigns, has started her wrestling training. He is the youngest son of the late wrestler Umaga, and interestingly, his father also briefly appeared in the upstart company.
“Welcome to the newest member of Reality Wrestling Training School Zilla Fatu. His father was part of Reality Wrestling Umaga and now he has started his journey.”
Welcome to the new member of wrestling training school district fatu’s reality.
His father was a part of Umaga Reality of Wrestling and now he has started his journey.
Not much is known about the 22-year-old wrestler at the moment. However, he has been quite open about his experiences in prison, which he shared on YouTube. Fatu was charged with a felony at age 15 and spent six years in a Texas prison before his release in 2022.
While it appears the new Anoa’i wrestler has a troubled past, he is eager to turn his future around, especially under the guidance of reality wrestling. Former ROW trainee Roxanne Perez has now become one of the top stars of NXT.
Another member of Roman Reigns’ family welcomes Zillah Fatu to the wrestling business
Several members of the Anoa’i family are currently part of WWE, but some perform outside of the company. One such star is Jacob Fatu, best known for his time in MLW.
Jacob Fatu, son of Sam Fatu (aka The Tonga Kid/Tama) and cousin of Roman Reigns, immediately shared his support for Zillah when he arrived in the Row.
“‼️The bloodline keeps getting stronger my uncle #Umaga youngest son #Welcome to ZILLAFATU”
Other wrestling legends who greeted Zilla are WWE veterans Shelton Benjamin and Bully Ray. Since the 22-year-old has just started his career in wrestling, it might be a while before fans see him sharing the ring with his cousins.
