WWE Creative Head Triple H’s recent decision to rename Sarah Logan as Valhalla hasn’t gone down too well with NWA performer Natalia Markova.
The Game and WWE creative recently chose to rebrand SmackDown star Sarah Logan as the Oracle of the tag team The Viking Raiders. Many fans and artists have noticed that Logan’s new look is similar to that of indie star Max the Impaler.
During a recent interview with WrestlingNews.co, Markova criticized WWE and called Logan’s new appearance a cheap copycat.
“I think it’s a rift because I know for a fact Sarah knows Max. But I think she just saw it was successful and she said, well, I’m in big company.” And I can do whatever I want.” I think people think if they’re in WWE they can do whatever they want,
which honestly, again, if this was 50 years ago when there was no internet, You could get away with it. But now, everybody knows everything. I can go on Twitter and you can see Max. Now known as Valhalla, the 29-year-old has now aligned herself with former Raw Tag Team Champions, Erik and Ivar, with Erik also being her husband in real life.
Former WWE writer questions Triple H’s creative decisions
Despite the many pros since taking over from Vince McMahon, Triple H still faced a lot of criticism, especially from former WWE head writer Vince Russo.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of Raw, Russo wondered why Triple H and WWE keep Adam Pearce on screen as a representative of the company’s management.
“Brother, why is Adam Pierce still on this show? I mean, my god, brother, we’ve seen so many cuts in saving money. Why is he on this show? Why is he on this show?” (h/t Sportskeeda)
Since becoming the creative head, The Game has arguably breathed new life into the show, along with reviving the careers of several stars.
