It is believed that Roman Reigns’ record-breaking World Title run could end at WWE WrestleMania 39, and EC3 recently explained why John Cena could be a great candidate to dethrone the Tribal Chief.
The latest episode of The Wrestling Outlaws revolves around the rumors of Logan Paul possibly facing John Cena for the first time at ‘Mania.
While EC3 would not mind seeing Cena vs. Paul at The Grandest Stage of Them All, he felt that the sensational leader could tell a better story if he went up against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Winning a title shot after defeating 16-time World Champion Ric Flair and dethroning Roman Reigns would surprise most fans.
While the WWE Universe would not want to see Cena snatch the title from Reigns, Cator explained how this could be a great booking move for the company.
“Here’s the caveat. Now you have it. You have the story of becoming a 17-time world heavyweight champion, and then if you’re going to pay for it, why not put it out there. Everyone’s supposed to be crazy.” Because Roman will go this incredibly long run. Like, who’s going to quit? John! People will say, ‘Again, Cena sex!’ I mean, it’s a hell of a story.” [9:12 – 9:43]
EC3 says John Cena can beat Logan Paul and face Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 39
Speculation about Cena facing The Maverick began when the YouTuber confirmed his interest in the match. It should be noted that both John Cena and Logan Paul appear to be part-time talents who don’t wrestle in WWE for a full year.
EC3 stated that booking John Cena and Logan Paul in a high-profile match would be “good business” for WWE and backed the former World Champion to emerge victorious in the proposed bout.
Carter felt that it would be wise for John Cena to knock out Logan Paul before starting another feud against Roman Reigns.
“Who is more likely to advance, Logan or John? I mean, it really could go either way. I think if he wants to break that record, it’s going to be before John is 17.” He must defeat the evil Logan.” Paul the all-time world champion. At the end of the day, we put numbers on things that don’t matter. Is this a good business? Yeah, it probably is,” said EC3. [2:00 – 2:40]
