What is the history of Roman Reigns and Sheamus at WWE Survivor Series?

WWE Survivor Series finally got its main event. The Brawling Brutes are set to face Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens in The Bloodline WarGames match, a bet that has been known to drastically change the career paths of the first entrants.

The main event of the show was confirmed during the main event of the latest episode of SmackDown. The company teased a possible match between Roman Reigns and Sheamus, with Michael Cole bringing up their shared history.

The Tribal Chief and The Celtic Warrior are no strangers to facing off at WWE Survivor Series. The last time they met at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event,

their roles were very different. Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank moments following Big Dog’s victory over Dean Ambrose for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship on November 22, 2015.

The whole thing turned out to be a massive setup by The Authority to strip Reigns of the title. The former members of The Shield will be hanging around Triple H and his gang for the next month. His big win finally came on the December 14, 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw. Reigns was able to overcome the odds stacked against him by then-CEO Vince McMahon.

The Head of the Table and The Irish Warrior will meet once again next Saturday at WWE Survivor Series.
