Wrestling fans on Twitter fondly remember The Shield, who led the Monday Night Raw invasion on SmackDown in 2017.
During the feud between the two brands, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose destroyed The New Day, who were in action against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn earlier in the night. Zayn is now a member of The Bloodline.
The Usos also made an appearance during the segment, as they were confronted by Reigns before being attacked by Rollins and Ambrose. Fans recently recalled the same segment on Twitter.
In response, a fan suggested that Ambrose, currently known as Jon Moxley in AEW, would return to his former promotion on the road. Meanwhile, several members of the WWE Universe hinted at a possible face-off between The Usos and Reigns.
Roman Reigns talks about The Shield’s recent dominance in professional wrestling
Roman Reigns and other members of The Shield recently spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso.
During the conversation, the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion claimed that The Hounds of Justice always knew he had the potential to be the top man in WWE. Reign said:
Roman Reigns said, “We knew early on that we were going to be the kind of guys for the company who could pull the wagon, work hard to get where we wanted.” “If we didn’t move, someone else would move, so we’ve always done everything in our power to put ourselves in the right position.”
Reigns is currently part of The Bloodline faction along with The Usos, Solo Sequoia, Paul Heyman and Sami Zayn. While Seth Rollins, the architect of The Shield, is the WWE United States Champion.
Jon Moxley holds the AEW World Championship and has enjoyed an incredible run since leaving WWE.
