Roman Reigns is set to defend the WWE Universal Title against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel this Saturday. The YouTuber isn’t going to Saudi Arabia alone and his younger brother, Jake Paul, could be in his corner to help against The Bloodline.
Jake Paul is a pro boxer, and at 25, he has already faced prominent names like Anderson Silva and Tyrone Woodley inside the boxing ring. Triple H himself has hinted that the youngster may soon follow in the footsteps of Paul Logan and join the WWE.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Jake Paul could be in Logan Paul’s corner for the match against Roman Reigns. He also revealed that while The Bloodline will be in Reigns’ corner, Sami Zayn will miss the event as he is in Syrian.
The lineup for the Universal title is Roman Reigns vs. Logan Paul. While not announced, Paul Levesque strongly indicated that Jake Paul would be Logan’s corner and Bloodline would be Reigns’ corner. Sami Zayn is not going to Saudi Arabia because he is Syrian and that was an issue for both him and Saudi Arabia’s side,'” Meltzer said.
Can Jake Paul help Logan Paul upset with Roman Reigns?
WWE is building the match between The Tribal Chief and The Maverick around ‘One Lucky Punch’, which says Paul needs a big right hand to win.
Still, The Bloodline at ringside will present a huge challenge for Logan, and having his brother in his corner might help the odds as well.
Dave Meltzer also notes that the Paul brothers are considered prominent figures in Saudi Arabia, even though they are no longer major PLE attractions in the United States.
The report also stated that Kevin Owens will not be a part of the show as he has not been a part of previous shows in Saudi Arabia. This may be due to his loyalty to Sami Zayn.
