Bayley recently took to Twitter to take a dig at WWE on BT Sport for disrespecting Sasha Banks.
BT Sport tweeted the Tale of the Tape for the Raw Women’s Championship match ahead of a role model performance with arch-rival Bianca Belair at Crown Jewel.
The same tweet referred to both Bailey and Belair as “two of the best in the business”. In response, the 33-year-old star recalled her #1 ranking on PWI’s Women’s 100 and Banks’ #5 ranking in 2020.
Banks and Bailey have previously shared rings with each other on several occasions. They have clashed in several singles matches over the years.
The two worked together on WWE programming and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship twice. Banks and Bayley are the first women’s tag team champions.
Bayley previously wrestled Sasha Banks at Mount Rushmore
Bailey and Sasha Banks have developed a very close relationship with each other over the years. Off television, the two bond very well and were recently seen in public after The Boss’s walkout from WWE.
In a previous interview on The Preston & Steve Show, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion named Banks, Randy Orton, Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena as the four names in wrestling’s Mount Rushmore. he said:
“It could change anytime, but right now, I would say… Sasha Banks, Randy Orton, Stone Cold and let’s say John Cena. They revolutionized the whole era. I didn’t even put Macho Man in there, he was mine Favorite. He was the first to really draw me into wrestling.”
Earlier this year, Banks and his former tag team partner Naomi withdrew from WWE due to their alleged issues with the company’s creative team. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions was forced to vacate the title in the process and has not returned to the company since.
Bayley will try to capture the Raw Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair on Saturday, November 5 at Mrusul Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
