Alexa Bliss and Asuka will face Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and Io Skye on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The titles were on the line, and after a hellish fight, Babyface won.
With this win, Bliss ended a long drought of no gold in WWE. Victory has brought him back where he is. Devi does her best job as a champion, and that should be the spark she needs to revive and become a proper threat again.
Looking at the time that has passed since his last major championship win, you might have forgotten when and how it happened. If you need to refresh your memory, read on to find out.
Alexa Bliss’s last major title win was at WrestleMania 36. She teamed up with Nikki Cross to face the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), the then Women’s Tag Team Champions. The former defeated the latter on the show to win the title for the second time, becoming the first pair to hold the championship more than once.
Bliss and Cross had several successful championship defenses. However, his reign ended after 62 days as he lost his title to Bayley and Sasha Banks on the June 2, 2020 episode of SmackDown.
Alexa Bliss wins the championship on Raw
Bianca Bellair and Bayley continued to fight, angering the Raw Women’s Champion. Bliss announced that she was patted on the back and decided to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and Io Skye stood in their way. They were formidable champions and had a reputation for not being easy to beat. With Asuka as her tag team partner, Little Miss Bliss fought in the main event of the show.
The Finnish saw Skye Schells over the top rope and missed a moon. Asuka kicked him in the face and tagged Alexa Bliss, which ended with Twisted Bliss to take the pin and the title. We’re excited to see how she reigns as champion in the coming weeks.
