Triple H should book The Legend for WWE in-ring return after 20 years, says veteran (EXCLUSIVE)

Vince Russo recently pitched the idea of bringing Triple H’s X-Pac back to WWE and booking them to put their careers on the line every time they wrestle for the promotion.

Although X-Pac has not wrestled for WWE in over 20 years, he has wrestled sporadically on the independent circuit. Last March, her match with former AEW star Joey Janela at Game Changer Wrestling’s Spring Break was a resounding success. With how impressive the former WWE European Champion looked in the match, fans wanted to see him back in the ring.

On the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling Writing with Russo, Vince Russo shares his thoughts about X-Pac possibly wrestling for WWE again. The wrestling legend thinks he should be involved in a storyline where X-Pac makes it clear that Triple H can fire him if he loses even one match.

“Even if Triple H said, ‘Bro, I know you’re my friend, and I know we have history, but bro, I’m looking at your medical reports, and bro, you’ve got a Got , B, C, D, and E. And brother, you will have one chance and one chance only.’ And let X-Pac say, ‘You know what, bro? First time I got pinned 1,2,3…'” Vince Russo said.
The former WWE writer believes this storyline could be a huge hit with fans and result in a massive ratings boost for the promotion. Russo said that X-Pac should gradually face bigger and bigger stars with each passing match.

“I’d love to see that. Brother, you 1000 percent get people behind X-Pac. I think it’s going to draw ratings because every week, the opponents, higher and higher and higher up the food chain. I’d love that, I think he would be the perfect guy to do that,” Russo said. (3:25 – 4:08)

Shawn Michaels on X-Pac on Wrestling for WWE NXT
X-Pac’s D-Generation X stablemate and NXT supremo Shawn Michaels believes he could be a great fit on the former Black and Gold brand.

In a recent interview, Michaels stated that since Sean Waltman had been competing outside of WWE occasionally and was in good shape, he would be a “huge plus” for NXT.

“I have to tell you, it would be great. The talent would benefit greatly from it, and clearly we do as a program. If our kids do something with us, that’s a huge plus for NXT, Sean said

“If they called me, I would do the Royal Rumble. I love WWE, and no matter what’s going on, I still have love for them.”

And so I would like them to host my comeback matches. But if not, there are many other people who will.”

As the Royal Rumble 2023 draws closer, it remains to be seen whether X-Pac will make a surprise appearance in the Men’s Rumble match on January 28.
