WWE held a live event on December 27 in Atlanta, Georgia, which featured members of Roman Reigns’ Bloodline faction in action. Sami Zayn – at one point – attempted to tackle his opponent in a fashion similar to The Tribal Chief. However, things went differently than planned.
Last Tuesday, Zayn and The Usos took on Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman and Ricochet in a six-man tag team match. Babyface emerged victorious by knockout.
During the closing stages of the bout, Zayn invoked his inner reign by delivering a Superman Punch to The Prizefighter. He then followed it up with a failed spear attempt as a Stunner on Owens marked the end of their contest.
The recent live event in Atlanta also featured Bray Wyatt, Becky Lynch and other top Superstars. View full results here.
What happens when Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens clash again in a WWE match featuring Roman Reigns?
During the last WWE SmackDown of 2022, the returning John Cena will team up with Kevin Owens against Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
Many fans have speculated that a loss to The Bloodline could kickstart Zayn’s eventual exit from the faction. However, a win will ensure that they end the year on a high note, as they have been doing for some time now.
Speaking to TMZ, Owens commented on recently joining forces with Cena:
“It’s kind of crazy, you know it’s kind of full circle. I started with John when I came to WWE, and now he’s going to be my partner against Sami. Mine and Sami’s There’s been so much history in WWE, let alone our entire careers. To be in that kind of situation together now, it’s all so surreal. I’m grateful for the opportunity to experience that stuff.”
Cena suffering a pinfall loss this Friday might be a more surprising result than most scenarios. Another unexpected – and least likely – possibility would be King in the same role.
