Brock Lesnar is a once in a lifetime artist. Not only has he become a big name in WWE, but he has also put up a stellar performance in MMA.

Lesnar teased a return to the UFC in 2018, when he clashed with Daniel Cormier. While a match was planned for the two at the UFC, Lesnar reportedly backed out.

The Beast Avatar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion. However, he has not returned to MMA since his last fight against Mark Hunt at UFC 200. Daniel Cormier is also a former Heavyweight Champion in the UFC, and is also said to be a lifelong WWE fan.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar did not want to fight Daniel Cormier, although Angle was shot for it. Cormier will come to WWE as the special referee for Seth Rollins vs Matt Riddle, but he may also have his own match on the road.

Cormier’s signing immediately sparked clear speculation of him facing Brock Lesnar. The UFC attempted to make that fight a point and shoot angle for it. But Lesnar decided not to do so. At Angle, Lesnar comes into the cage and pushes Cormier hard. In fact, Lesnar and Cormier are friends, but Cormier understood that Lesnar was trying to build a business at the time,” Meltzer said.

Will Brock Lesnar face Daniel Cormier in WWE?
There is a lot of speculation about a possible match between Cormier and Lesnar. Meltzer has previously stated that there is a chance that WWE will try to match Cormier against Lesnar at WrestleMania, given its history. However, the DC has said that at present there is no such plan.

“No, I haven’t heard anything about it. It sounds like it makes a lot of sense, but as you know, just because something makes sense doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. So, No, I have nothing to fight with Brock Lesnar.”

Cormier, 43, currently works for the UFC and had to get permission from Dana White to come to WWE as the special referee for the fight pit match between Riddle and Rollins.
